So this is my present for the amazing minviendha, who already wrote me an absolutely fantastic story that everyone should go read, right now, here. She asked for Sam, Cas, and existential angsting together; I'm not sure how existential it is, but there's some angst. Merry Christmas, minviendha! I hope you like your present =)

Awwww. You had me in the first little bit of this, with the burning, and I could just see Dean's face and the 'oh shit' look.

And the rest of it! Awww. Cas is adorable and perfect, and Sam is rambling on about everything and trying really hard not to say bad things, and what always kills me about the times when Sam speaks the unvarnished truth is that he's so calm about it. Even in this, there's nothing hysterical about his statements, it's just 'sometimes I wonder' and 'why didn't you do this?' logical.

Thats what kills me about it too! Its why I tried writing it, and the whole time I was thinking 'and he would say this totally calmly, like this was a normal conversation. Just remember he treats it like a normal, sane conversation.'

DEAN IS A CLOSET NERD. NOTHING ANYONE SAYS CAN CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE. And in my head he's read all of ASOIAF, and Sam has read almost every book Stephen King has ever written, and one day these will be worked into fics. It will happen.

I'm glad you like it! I posted it and then watched Harry Potter with my family, and when the movie ended I practically sprinted to my laptop thinking 'did she read it did she like it oh god what if it sucked OH GOD' and now here we are haha
