I love this - love the differences between this life and the life the boys would have had with John around, as well as the similarities. And even if things go on as fucked up as they were in canon after this point, they'll still have had a childhood that deserved the name and no bitterness between them from day one.

This one is definitely getting a sequel. It was SO MUCH FUN to change the little things that pissed me off the most about John's parenting, because it was SHITTY. And I honestly think that Mary would have tried a lot harder to be better about it. I'm glad you like this!
