You had me liking her before the fall but now, I just can't forgive her yet. I do understand why she did it, but she gave no thought to the anguish she caused an entire fandom.

Still I wanted to comment because this is quite well written as always, and I'll keep reading about her and try to keep an open mind. ;)

I've got a long piece in draft that talks about Sally a bit more - whether that'll help you forgive her, I'm not sure. I don't think her motives are entirely pure in what she's doing, even if she may have convinced herself they are. But I did get annoyed by some comments I read on other sites in which people said she was "mediocre and childish" or thought she was hoping to take over Lestrade's job. And if you look at the information she actually has, (as opposed to the additional information that the viewer knows), her doubts doesn't seem completely unreasonable.

Yes, her decision to investigate did sound like the sane and professional thing to do. Thank you for writing this drabble!

I think someone needs to stand up for Sally, and I'm writing more about her as well - though I'm afraid it's not likely to have a happy ending at the moment.

Definitely - there's been a lot of unjustified Sally hate on some LJs (although even I find it hard to justify Anderson's behaviour).

As you've said above, maybe her motives weren't 100% pure, but she wouldn't have tried to ruin him out of spite.

I have loved Sally fiercely since the first second she was on screen, so it really gets me down that she's so often seen in fandom as this awful petty creature who's jealous of Sherlock and doesn't deserve respect.
