Dear Lord... Get it while it's hot!

This is something I've never seen before in the Naruto fandom: Someone made a Wikipedia Article for their Sue and passed it off as legit. I saved the text since this page won't be there long if I have my way. The only reason I didn't just delete this piece of tripe as soon as I found it was to get evidence against the author to have her banned for ( Read more... )

wtf, naruto

She even has assigned a *seiyuu* to the Sue. Damn.

As much as I'm a little bit impressed by the effort here, this is pretty horrible. Nothing's worse than an educated Suethor, but the Wikipedia people aren't idiots and this baby's already been nominated for deletion. But jeez... I hope this doesn't signal a trend.

By the way, the seiyuu is actually a man, which I took great amusement from. She appears she just copied a bunch of info from Kakashi's.

Yeah, I saw the singular/plural confusions and figured as much. What a moron.

Sakura and Ino constantly proclaims

not much of an achievement on Sakura and Ino's part

Sakura and Ino serves as a perfect antithesis for Shay

Unlike Shay, Sakura and Ino had to work hard to achieve success as a ninja

She seems to think that Sakura and Ino are one person.

Oh, and Shay is SUCH a Japanese name.

I'm not sure if this person is a fluent English speaker or just an idiot, but just on the grounds of structure this article's a doozy for deletion. Plus a good deal was ripped from Kakashi's article (including the seiyuu, who is a man, which I found great amusement from.

The context was never changed because that section was almost word for word copied from Kakashi's wiki. All they did was change the nouns, but not any of the other words.

Which makes sense, since the japanese characters are saying "copy-ninja no kakashi"...

...That is very whut tha feck, right there.

I mean, my OCs for my fandoms are way more researched and able to fit into canon as that 'Sue there, but you don't see my throwing them onto Wikipedia.

Seriously. What the hell.

Yeah, this Suethor went one step farther than most here. With any luck they'll just ban her ass from WP for this and block her IP, if all goes well. The Admins are not going to be happy about this.

Wow. Just... wow, the utter gall of some people. Pity the poor little fanbrats that might have gotten taken in by this...

Hence why I put a big thing saying it was Mary Sue at the top as soon as I figured out what was going on. This thing's been here less than 24 hours, but I pray I got there soon enough to stop any mistaken identity from this.

Hahahaha, someone tried to add their Gary Stu "Leo Tadashima" to the 'Characters in Neon Genesis Evangelion' article. He was promptly delorted. But this one is even funnier XD

I think I heard about that. The admins are getting fed up with this, so I think they're going to have this type of behavior = ban. Here's hoping.
