Thank you, but as I'm under contract with the agency, I'm getting paid anyway, the question is what for. If they don't find me something quickly enough, it's their problem. They still have to pay me. But the job I'm at right now and have been for those past weeks is wonderful, so I'm very positive the next one will be as well.
But that's the thing - I didn't want to wait around, so I went to a temp agency, where I may get gigs that are boring or something that I'm overqualified for. But I get paid. Others wait around for the perfect job, and then fall into this internship trap. I just don't get it.
Word. With all the regular characters they killed off (some even more than once) over the years, I'm so glad Skinner survived, cos I couldn't have handled his death, he's so awesome. (Though I'm still in denial about Jeffrey Spender. He's not really dead. He can't be. I loved him. He was Mulder's brother, for God's sake! There was so much potential for silly soap storylines, like Spender and Scully having drunk 'Mulder-can-be-such-a-jerk-sometimes' sex. lol)
I totally ship Skinner/Mrs Scully.
Hahaha! That reminds me of Giles/Mrs Summers. Awkward.
Oh, and YAY for paid work, BOO for unpaid work. I can understand unpaid internships for 2 weeks or even a month or 2, to get experience. But 9 months? Do they expect you to sleep under the sink in the office kitchen, or what?
lol Ianto/Tish? That's just... weird. ;-) It would be fun if she were to join TW3, though. She'd also be cute with PC Andy.
I know. Skinner >>>> all. In the next film it'll probably turn out that Skinner is really some mastermind who has just been keeping Mulder, Scully and the X Files for his personal amusement.
Ooh, I hope you'll like Spender this time round. He's one of those characters who's kind of made out to be a bad guy, but really he just needs a hug.
I think it doesn't just depend on your degree, but also on your experience. Personally, I'd be happy to get some unpaid work experience, but then I've only got a degree, not a diploma or MA.
