On hold with Verizon ... again

My dsl service keeps going out on me ... I was part of the group that designed the damn service in the first place ... both in Verizon and ... globally ... can you imagine how irritated I am when they ask me really silly questions ....

I recently switched to Verizon DSL too. I find it goes through moments where it doesn't function. Maybe a minute at a time or so... then it starts working again. What's up with that? Thanks for the reminder of the definition of "modem" but that's what happens to pop tech names when the technology keeps changing faster than the language.
