Super exhaustion...

From a previous post:
I am also feeling pretty good today. I had set aside this entire week for recovery, but I may begin working on my over stuffed tasks/projects list tonight. All of which says to me that I am truly moving toward what my h/e says should be my goal as a teacher, priestess and elder. She says that aside from physical exertion, my ( Read more... )

I don't remember my letters - I'll have to do it again - but what you say resonates with me.
Most people who see me in action would be sure I was an extrovert. I'm a Leo and I can "razzle-dazzle". I come home from a meeting where a lot has been accomplished and I am pleased but exhausted. I love Priestessing. While preparation is a lot of work and the ritual takes concentration and energy I am usually tired but not quite as drained as I am when teaching or leading organizations.
Down time is essential when I've had to be intensly involved in any project. I create my own inner world with words and pictures in my journal. I also do some feet up staring at the water. And some private drinking in beauty in nature and ritual which is unfocused.

Hope your spirit is revived.
Blessings

Yeah, I'm the same, and it's not unusual. Many introverts are good at dealing with other folks, even enjoy it very much ... but it costs us energy which can only be replenished with time alone.

This is very difficult to explain to extroverts.

Yeah, ditto the "teaching and priestessing will never energize me." Becoming Sundays wear me out. I try not to schedule anything those evenings anymore. But it took someone to draw my attention to the fact that "me" time is not selfish!

But at the same time, when I don't do my external work, I miss it.

Starting a list... for you...for me... seer_eridanus August 21 2006, 04:08:40 UTC
1. Get admin assistant. Attach at your hip.

2. Teach the Calico Goddess to slip you chamomile (maybe I can use the portals she controls Lucky with).

3. Remind you you are a resource and must be conserved and doled out wisely.

4. Must remember this is what happens to you, and work out schedule of support, of you and Calico Queen, with Systeri.

5. Will not brook argument.

Don't care if you took that vow at Between the Worlds or just were the delivery vessel... Ask. Tell. We're not in the military.

Love you! Bless you! Be here lots!

I need a lot more teaching! Why yes, I am selfish.
