The only time I've seen that kind of behavior was with my cat Indiana ("we named the CAT Indiana") who was raised from a newborn by humans and a very patient dog. Indy was damnsure convinced our Sheltie was her momma....

The weird thing is that her papers say that she came from a home with 35 cats. There's nothing about a dog on there.
