I love Sushi Sono in Columbia if you like sushi/Japanese.

I think you would really enjoy The Rumor Mill in Ellicott City. http://www.therumormillrestaurant.com/
They are pricey if you're not getting small plates, but it's a very unique place and very worth it.

If you like Thai food this one in is truly THE BEST in Columbia area and the owners & stuff are REAL Thai people. And it's nice and quite. Highly recommend!!!

I highly recommend Ellicott Mills Brewing Company, though their website is HORRIFIC. Seriously. Don't judge them by their website, go here and check them out on Yelp instead. I don't know if they could accommodate a party that size or not, but I would imagine so. Excellent food, good beer, great atmosphere. :-)
