Fastening My Seat Belt!

I am getting ready to head off for 10 days of work, play, deep thought, and study… my second residency at Vermont College of Fine Arts! Some of the highlights will be:

Mary, sounds both excellent AND intense and I wish I could be a fly in your notebook. {}

Do you have an advisor? Do you work on both pic bks and novels during your studies or are you concentrating on one in particular?

I spent a weekend in that Vermont College building for a Novelists' Workshop. That photo brings back sweet memories.

Hi, Pam. We have a different advisor each semester. Last semester, my advisor was poet Julie Larios. This coming semester, it will be Kathi Appelt. I'll be focusing solely on picture books this semester; last semester, working with Julie, I focused on PB's and poetry collections.
I do wish you could come along for the ride!
I hope you make it to Cape Cod... we're away the second week of August. So if you come, hopefully I won't miss you. Keep me posted!
