(I see your women of NCIS and add one!)

Thanks for reading this; I'm glad you loved it! It got a lot longer than I planned on.

Kate's awesome. (Yes, yes, I like Ziva, too, but I've just never found any Ziva icons I have to have.)

Oh, yeah, it works, for sure. I just didn't think, when I started writing it, that it would be that long! (And now my muses are already starting to kick around a sequel.)

Omg~<33!

Fave parts:

She smirked at him. "Because you have all the brains," she answered. "Mr Benjamin, I'll be glad to review any decisions the two of you make before they're finalized, but until then, my friend speaks for me. This will all go much more quickly and smoothly if you'd stop arguing that at every turn and just do your business."

So Mary! And so Marshall that he would take care of The Ripoff That Is The Funeral Home Business.

Four letter word for scheme?"

This whole section, with Marshall looking for a crossword puzzle word while having a conversation about other things with Mary -- shiny! And Mary has the word. Of course.

"Yeah, that's me. Marshall, protector of dresses and ruiner of arteries. I figured we'd stop for extra-salted fries and overly fatty burgers on our way out of town."

LOLOLOLOL!

When he curled around her less than a minute after she crawled in with him, she loosened his arm around her and murmured, "You schmoop." Marshall stayed awake even after she pretended to fall asleep, and if he stroked ( ... )

Of course she does! As for the crossword - good way to keep the conversation from getting too deep in the middle of the office. It's a good trick to know, actually.

*Fecking adores* Especially the "you schmoop" comment.
I think I may have stolen that from you, but it was too perfect to pass up.

You popped so many wonderful little partnership hits in this story--fun! Thank you!

I love your comments. They're so ego-boosting and awesome. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And thank you.

Favorite part:

"She didn't even notice that Raph was at... that Raph was there Saturday."

Marshall opened his mouth, but the door swung open and Mary came back to their space. "I know, but I don't think she's realized it yet."

Brandi sighed. "She will," and Marshall was left listening to dead air.

Just because... You know... It's true... :)

Oh, how did I ever guess you'd pick that particular part? ;)

Well, probably because my hatred of Raph isn't exactly a state secret.

(Should that be a provincial secret in my case? *ponders*)

But also because - as much as dislike Jinx and her histrionics - I wouldn't wish that on anyone just now. Well, not at any time I guess, but whatever...

*shrugs*

I loved the sweet simplicity in this--a real feat, given the emotional subject matter it's based around. You showed the ease in their relationship beautifully, going from partners to friends to more-than-friends, and it worked amazingly, amazingly well.

Bravo!

Sorry it took me so long to get back over to reply to you. Thank you so much! You just said essentially what I tell myself whenever I read back over this fic - it's one of the few of mine that I'm still proud of later. I'm glad you like it and that you think it works!
