Oh Marshall, the biggest give away is to not give a straight answer. They are both so quick to jump on the defensive.

Now let's see if Mary will admit just how much she needs him.

He did kinda sell himself wholesale and she pounced on it. This has been building for a bit so it's only reasonable that it would explode now. You always hurt the ones you love the worst, because you already know how.

And now it is all out in the open. Marshall's tryst, his feelings for Mary, her feelings for him. Glad it did not come to blows between them (would have been one sided wouldn't it) because that is something that could never be taken back. Mary actually giving a verbal apology - that is saying something. Great chapter!

Thanks :) I think they finally abandoned their private islands in search of one together. Marshall wanted to tell her when it happened; that's the kind of thing you tell your best friend, but not when you're in love with her. That only made his personal drama more sordid. They both needed it to come out, especially once Mary had worked it all out.

Oh....Marshall *knew* something was up the minute he walked into that house. Those little hairs on the back of your neck are there for a reason, buddy!!

The Shakespeare quote was *awesome*...I would love to see that happen in the show :)

I love it when they fight...it's always so n.a.s.t.y. But I'm glad he didn't let her smack him.

That was the $64,000 question, bereft of flowery speech and .50 cent words.

If only Marshall would put it on the table like this *sigh*

God, if he asked me that, I'm not sure I could make it all the way through the question without jumping his bones.

The fight was a loooong time coming and vicious as only two close friends can be. The problem with fighting with the ones you love is that they don't have to work to find the soft spots.
