My favorite was both the realization of Marshall to how difficult it was being so close to Mary without her being his (envisioning her and Jamie as his as they slept), and the question Mary suddenly asks, suggesting in her own way they were a family, and underscored with the fact that her feelings for Marshall were more than just circumstance.

But so saaaaaaaddddddd.... *sigh*

The whole series is bittersweet. Lots of loss, but lots gained also. Loved the open arms and heart of Mary for all three of the other main characters.
