I know I already told you this, but I really like this. The couch bit is my favorite. :)

I think it's great that Marshall knows the comfortable parts of her couch.

See what happens when I'm happy with an episode? Or, better yet, when I'm happy with THREE episodes in a row! I feel inspired to actually write AND finish a story! :)

The couch thing was fun; leave it to Marshall to know the origin of the word & the piece of furniture, just off the top of his head (which I did not, just for the record)!

The 'sound asleep while still connected' thing is my absolute favorite thing. It's the thing I just thought of when I saw the episode, and the fic was built as a way to get there. :)

Damn, this is why I sometimes hate not being the first person to comment. "What they said" is silly, and so is repeating what they said.

Ooh! But I have a typo for you! (It makes me feel special. Go ahead and mock me. I deserve it.)
She could hardly blame him for fearing the worse; after all, he'd seen the way she reacted when people tried to force her to deal with things - with feelings - she really didn't want to deal with.
Worse should be 'worst'. Aaaaand:
She wasn't sure why she felt uncomfortably telling Marshall that Raph was spending the night.
'uncomfortably' ought to be 'uncomfortable' - I think. But the more I think about it, the less sure I am, after all. Huh.

Okay, so I replied to this from my phone a while ago, and yet here I am to follow up and there is... nothing.

So, as I was saying (in the never seen by anyone but me) previous post, thanks for pointing out my mistakes! They've now been corrected. Next time, I will listen to my instincts and NOT post at 2:30 in the morning only minutes after finishing writing the story. *snickers*

Aw, this was sweet. And even Brandi got to be sweet in the end - though I think Brandi likes Marshall (though I'm not sure he likes her too much).

I think Brandi may have noticed Marshall, all right, but I find it interesting that she hasn't tried anything in that case. She certainly wasn't shy about going for Raph - even if she wasn't 'sleeping with him' - and she knows he's Mary's so-called boyfriend. So her not going after Marshall says lots, I think. Like even Brandi can tell Marshall is important to Mary, and that her going after him would be Very Bad. She may not know why he's so important, exactly, but she can tell that he is.

And, hey, she has to know how Marshall feels about Mary by now, right?

I think Brandi only likes Marshall in that she thinks he's nice and kinda cute and I'm sure on some level she knows that he's good for her sister and has been a good partner. I don't think she would ever be seriously attracted to him the way she was with Raph because he just operates on a completely different frequency than she does. If they started talking, the minute he went off on one of this tangents Brandi's brain would probably explode. I think Chico is more on her level, which is why she kinda was going for him ( ... )

Brandi: He's cute, you like him, and he's, like, totally in love with you.
Mary: What? Oh, shut up. He is not. Nuh-uh.
Brandi: Yeah-huh, he totally is! I can't believe you haven't noticed that, and you're the cop! Well, sort of.
Mary: Buh?

LOL! I actually have an old fic that I never finished, which pretty much follows along those lines. In the fic, this conversation is actually triggered by Brandi wanting to find out why Mary said no when Raph asked her to marry him, but the end result is the same. :)
