Thanks very much! I'll let you know how it goes - and Deirdre wanted to know if there was a chance of your coming over to visit? How is everything with you?

Do give my love to Deirdre! I'm afraid that I'm unlikely to be over this year - my job will finish next February, and we're working flat out to get the dictionary done by then. It has also been a condition of my employment for the last year and a half that I don't get any pay rises, while the cost of just about everything is going up and up . . . I don't know what I will be doing after February, but if I have stable employment next year, then I will definitely look into it then.

How are you?

I know what you mean about pay raises! It's the same over here. We'll keep our fingers crossed that the work goes well and that you get something good after the dictionary is done. As I said to Jon, above, the reading went very well, and it seemed like a real boost to me. It was nice that there were only six of us reading, and also nice that everyone was worth listening to. And there was a good, supportive, crowd, including both my sisters.
