Ok, so a few other thoughts that've occurred to me since I posted yesterday. I have to give Dresden and by extension Butcher props for the excessive number of geek references in this book. LoTR, Princess Bride, and a bunch more. SOO many good quotes ( ... )

It's true, Mab did decide that working with Demonreach was to her benefit which I can't believe is something she does often, not with her arrogance. On the other hand, I feel like it shouldn't be able to reach it's power outside of it's demesne, which is just the island, and apparently the caves under it, but still. Harry lost all connection to it once he stepped even onto the boat next to the island. This thing possessed a statue miles away and it's voice was still powerful enough that it nearly shattered Harry's Soul/ghost when is spoke. The way I was lead to believe, something that draws it's power from something so localized, doesn't really have power outside that location...unless maybe the graveyard is on the ley line that wells up at the island ( ... )
