I love that you bring out the side of Bush that we as readers rarely get to see. Bush is so much cleverer than anyone gives him credit for, Hornblower included. But yet, he is so honest and wears his heart on his sleeve to the point where even Hornblower has to forgive him for his actions. Great job and awesome exposition! Looking forward to Tuesday's post!
“Raise you glass! Raise your glass! To the Hotspur, our bonny lass! Her braces are sure, Her cannons are bright, She's been through many a glorious fight!” “And when she prowls the dark of night You'd best show nary a flag or light, For if of you she catches sight, She'll tack right fast to take a bite, And though you run with all your might, You'll find yourself in real deep shite!”
This brings to mind a conversation I had with anteros about limericks on this site, and their tendency to devolve into the ridiculous . . . Clearly I was obliged to follow that high standard!
Do you like the way I blamed Bush for my bad verse? XD
