It would be interesting to see the Terracotta Soldiers in person, I'm sure everything would look more vast. I doubt I could get the tones right if I attempted to learn Mandarin.

The Terracotta Soldiers site are quite vast. In fact, I heard that they were originally made in color, but their original colors faded to gray from being oxidized from air ever since they were first excavated in the 1970s.

Mandarin is super-hard for people who are not used with tones before. ^_^;; However, with enough practice, one should be able to get the hang of it slowly but surely. Since I'm a musician used to wild changes of tones in music, this is somewhat an advantage for me.
