He indicated Lark beside him. "We're going for a drive."
Carol nodded. "Be back before 9."
"What am I, twelve?"
Carol gave him a look. "Your cousins put together something for the fireworks and you are going to be here."
She held his look. Steve nodded and started to move off. "Fine. Whatever."
And hahaha, future!Aryn says she and Catherine need to start the 'My Kid Is A Mouthy Teenager' Club. :P
