So the sound has fled this damned machine once again, but it has taken my Gmail with it - at least I can still access it off the site. Felt so unloved for two days. Or something. Then it tells me I don't gots proper Java in me to run this joint. Oy vey. At least the rest of my life isn't so stressful. Today was the big Dacha day, that is the trip ( Read more... )

oh, you almost made me cry with that one. admit it, you were going for tears, weren't you?
I could totally see the bunk bed and the apple trees outside. They are the best apples, belyi naliv. MM, my favorite. BTW, ours is not the dinkiest dacha. Just visit our neighbors. Speaking of neighbors, say hi to everyone.
does dad know about your computer problems? email him, he might be able to figure some things out.

at marina's yesterday her friend stopped by and she was telling her about going to my dacha once (10 years ago when i first visited) and her most vivid memory (save the seaweed in the river) was sleeping in the upstairs room and having a giant branch with apples on it right outside the window....

ok so i admit it but i am glad it struck a chord 'cuz that means i expressed what i was feeling well. honestly i laid there and thought "i'm in heaven."

That sounds so beautiful. Maybe it's better that you didn't have your camera because now it's that much more special, always in your memories.

i understand what you mean. so often i live for other people, experience things for the sake of retelling them later. cameras are terrible for this; without one i was able to focus on myself and my own memories.
