The Xavier Academy has one of the most advanced security systems in the world, designed for the early detection of a variety of threats that could put the student population at risk. It's been a long time since this particular alarm was triggered, though.

The distinctive sound of Wolverine's claws unsheathing is followed by a feral roar of fury before the mutant throws himself at one of the Sentinel and starts climbing.

"Not so fast, bub," he snarls.

Katana in hand, Kitty is behind Wolverine, her eyes narrowed.

She absolutely hated it when her late night sitcom reruns were interrupted.

Especially by Sentinels.

She launches herself into the air behind Wolverine. The katana won't do much good - it's not like it's made from adamantium or vibranium or anything - but its all she has for now, and dammit, she's going to use it the best way she knows how.

Rogue was just about to drift to sleep when the alarm went off. For a moment she thinks it might be a part of a dream but this doesn't feel like a dream - not quite.

Certainly, there is a sense of it, though, as she opens the window of her room in order to fly out to combat Sentinels in her emerald green satin pajamas.

"Ah really hate these things."

Hank had been sitting up in bed reading when the alarm had gone off. With a rather cross look on his race, he placed his book and glasses in his nightstand, before opening the window. He was only in his boxer shorts, but he supposed it would suffice.

"Do you have any idea what time it is, Young Robot?" he yelled, shaking a fist. "Your mother and I were worried sick!"

He leapt from the window to the ground below.

"Well," Wolverine drawls as he fishes out a cigar to chew on, "somethin' ain't right."

"When are things ever right for long, Logan?"

Kurt is soaking wet, clambering out of the pool - truth be told, he had avoided landing in it directly himself, but had dived in after Rogue splashed down to make sure she didn't drown.

Now, he's helped her to the edge of the pool.

Rogue coughs, pulling herself out of the pool. Nothing like waking up because you've hit the water. She got some up her nose which, admittedly, isn't nearly as bad as the light burns from the explosion but they're the one more thing that makes it horrible in the situation. "Thanks, Kurt."

She lays down on the side of the pool for a few moments to catch her breath.

"Everyone all right?" Hank asks.

He frowned. "Perhaps now would be a good time to take a rather long vacation to a deserted tropical island?"
