Most major film studios maintain a New York office, and the studio handling the Spider-Man movie was no exception. And despite a bevy of security on the ground-level to keep out the riff-raff, they weren't really prepared to deal with riff-raff with web-shooters. Eight men in suits look up with various levels of surprise, annoyance, anger; a ninth man laughs and asks a colleague, "This your idea, Barrett?" As if the guy in the Spidey suit means business. Joke, right?

The one woman there remarks quietly and in a very posh sort of British accent, "Inform the security downstairs they're fired," and trains her dark brown eyes on Spider-man. "This is a high-level meeting, and we have neither the time nor interest in little bits of fun such a costumed stripper. So do us all a favor, love, and bugger off. Now."

With a hop and a twist, Spider-Man is standing on the ceiling, arms folded across his chest.

"I wouldn't fire your downstairs security if I were you."

She opens a bottle of Perrier and pours its contents over ice, saying without taking her eyes off of Spider-Man, "I see. Well, then, what can we do for you, hrm?" Very calm.
