Jean had invited Maddy to come and stay at the Mansion to be examined by the medical equipment they have here. Something is wrong with her and maybe the X-men can help her find out. Perhaps the enemy of her enemy is, in this case a friend. It isn't something she's certain of at all

Scooping up her ball and tucking it under her left arm, the diminuitive girl approached with a little wave. Though she was nearly thirteen years old, she was still only 4'9" and the baggy clothing she wore covered up any evidence that she'd ever gone through puberty, leaving her looking more like a ten or eleven year old.
"Hi," she greeted. "Are you lost, or are you looking for someone?"
After all, strangers weren't that common around here. She also looked shockingly like one of the adults around the school, too. Ms. Grey. It wasn't as if Rylee had really gotten to know the adults around the school well. She just knew to match names to faces. Perhaps this woman was Ms. Grey's sister?

She was curious now. She was very curious, but she was supposed to work on being more polite. Sometimes Rylee's mouth could get ahead of her, and her mouth was definitely more reminiscent of a teenager than a child if she didn't watch it.
"So you're a mutant too, then?" she guessed. "What kind of powers do you have? I can use illusions. They used to only be like....mind-paint so I could just change the colors of things and do instant graffiti on walls and stuff. I think it was called...psychic residue? 'Cause I wasn't projecting it right into somebody's mind like a telepath would."
Realizing that she hadn't introduced herself, she offered her hand out to shake. "I'm Rylee, by the way. Rylee Beaumont."

Madelyne looks toward the girl again, smiling, "I am a mutant, a psychic." She doesn't usually think of herself in those terms, so it isn't a statement that rolls off the tongue with ease.
"I'm Madelyne Pyror."
