Normally this is all Jarvis's job but since there is only one Jarvis and he is allowed vacation days these things fall to Pepper who has a lighter then usual work load and had been complaining about "never seeing the sun." Picky, picky.
The time it took to interrupt her came within 30 seconds. "Ah, there you are. I have the Foundation's paperwork in here and I have a few questions."
Well, one paragraph was actually more than she'd hoped for. She lingered on the last few words on purpose, just to make him sweat a little.
She slips gracefully from the overstuffed chair, holding magazine closed at her side. Her other hand extended out to take the papers he mentioned. "Fire away, Mr. Stark." She said, giving him a small smirk.
Yes, the little "my time is valuable" thing. He knows the look. He opens up the briefcase. "I needed to parcel out the West Coast team's assets from the foundation to the Van Dyne Charitable Trust since Jan wanted to fund everything with her money. First, is the transfer in solid order and two -" He hands her a "don't ask me where I got them" stack. "Did she do it right?"
Pepper swallows a sigh, not wanting to sound bored or aggrivated. Really she's neither, just... refocusing.
She gives him a look when the stack is passed to her, but says nothing, and starts reading the first page. After a few moments, she flips to the next page, gives it a once over, pulls back several more pages and does the same thing.
She opens her mouth to give it the okay, but then stops. She holds up the papers so that he can see, pointing. "She needs to initial here and date it." She pulls back the stack of papers to go through it once more, now that she noticed that, there might be more less-than-obvious ommisions.
