After a long talk with a suicidal mutant on a rooftop, Daimon discovered the boy's name was Mark Hallman, his parents had kicked him out, and he had no where to go. Daimon took him to the only place he could think of for a wayward mutant child in need of reeducation ( Read more... )

Prompted by the security system telling him about uninvited guests, Hank had bounded toward the doors to the mansion, and thus was there when Daimon and the boy arrived.

"Oh my stars and garters..." he started. "Daimon! ...Wait. Aren't you evil these days? Or dead? Or both?"

Hank had, over the years, learned not to question such abrupt about faces and/or resurrections. After all, it just seemed to be the way the world worked. Sure, it was sometimes like badly written melodrama, but after all the crazy things he had seen, it was nothing.

And so he smiled. "It's good to see you too, old friend. To what do we owe the pleasure of this visit?"

Daimon nudged his young companion forward. "This is Marcus-"

The boy mustered up the courage to interrupt. "Mark."

"-Mark Hallman. He is under the mistaken impression that he is damned to Hell by his mutant status. I had hoped a short stay in the monastery of Father Gosset would cure him but he has advised me your institute is a more appropriate place."
