Once again, she was causing a scene. This time, at least, it wasn't her fault entirely ( Read more... )

And Brian was one of those people staring, one eyebrow raised. What the hell's up with this girl?

He looked around quickly. A few others were inching away carefully, which was probably what he should have done. He was, however, closest to her, so... He might as well be the one to try and see what was up. Who knows? It could even be a good story for later, if nothing else.

"Um." Tag cleared his throat and approached, touching her shoulder lightly. "You alright, there?"

Her shoulder, like the rest of her was clothed in black. She wore a scandalously short black ruffle skirt with black biking shorts underneath and a very well-loved (read: ripped up) black shirt with some obscure band name on it. Top it off with lacy gloves and combat boots and you have a stereotype.

This particular stereotype just happened to be crying. Even with her hands covering her face, Brian could see the rivulets of black makeup running down from her eyes.

Oh, god, did it hurt. To have the only stable thing in your life, the only part of you that seemed to accept and maybe even care, suddenly and utterly despise you. Just like...

She stiffened as Brian broke her train of thought. In one motion, she swatted his hand away and turned to face him, her eyes red and angry.

"What does it -look- like?" She growls bitterly. Realizing she had suddenly become the main event of the Library, she snatches up her book and attempts to push Brian out of the way. Trying to escape...

Tag didn't look overly-startled at the outburst he'd apparently caused. His expression was instead a flat one of disbelief. Really, there was no need for drama-overkill.

"Hey!" He yeilded to her shoving, but that drew the line for him on quiet indifference. "I was just trying to be nice, you know! Let's jump on my case because Ms. Freakout's having a moment!"

Oops. That was kind of rude, wasn't it?

This only deepened Wicked's crying. One more person who hated her.

She didn't even make it to the door, but slumped down to the floor of the entrance way, right in front of the people streaming in and out, sobbing.

What had she done to make them turn on her? Did they think she was ungrateful for their help? Would they ever come back...?
