The voice is dulcet and loving. He only dimly recognizes whom it is that beckons for his surrender. Even then, that detail seems so inconsequential.

He would let go now...allow himself to stretch out upon the wind and fade away. Something gives him pause however. The light in his breast is determined to goad his weary heart and the ankh upon his brow will not be ignored.
