They come mostly by air.

Giant wingspans. Silent approaches. Carrying their compatriots and launching them like bombs toward the roof of the school.

The air outside lights up with the coloroful array of discharged energy.

Sudden, terrifying chaos.

Peter Rasputin is just walking up to the front door, having just returned from Genosha.

Welcome home, Colossus.

He shifts instantly to his metal form and tries to draw attention to himself the best way he knows how.

He grabs a hold of the cab that's just dropped him off.

"GET OUT!" he barks to the driver.

"ARE YOU CRAZY?!" comes the response, as the cab peels out to get the hell out of dodge.

Colossus lets him go. Spare the man his life. Instead, he charges toward the fountain in the front yard to tear it out of the ground, hurling it at the biggest, ugliest monster he can hurl it toward.

The biggest, ugliest monster is knocked off of the roof by it, tumbling into the backyard.

Inside the mansion, Hellion has heard the noise. Outwardly, he isn't worried. Inwardly? He's a little worried, though he'd never admit it.

"Hellions! Get over here!" Not quite 'Avengers Assemble', but it'll have to do. He'll need his team for this.

Brian tries to keep his cool, but he's still more outwardly shaken than Julian. They best friends, though, so Hellion wouldn't give him trouble for it. Hopefully. He did have a tendency to point out how much better he was at everything than everyone else. Tag, however, was usually spared from that wrath. They're good friend, close, and he isn't far when he's called for.

"¿Qué pasa?" He slips, bracing himself for whatever might be happening. For those not of hispanic origin... He turns towards Julian, "What's happening?"

Suddenly, tree branches crash through the windows, as if alive and reaching for the two mutants.

Julian rolled his eyes as he answered in a kind of bored tone. "We're under attack. Again..." Wasn't this about the third time this year?

He didn't have much time to think about it as the branches came crashing through. He just grabbed Brain and put a shield between themselves and the branches.

"C'mon. You need tag every student and teacher you can get your hands on. Make sure anyone who shouldn't be here won't want to be within a mile of this place!" He started to barrel his way through the branches and down the hall. "C'mon, I'll cover you."

From high in the sky dives the Siryn, wailing her heart out.

She knocks two away, into tailspins.

Three more swoop up from behind, to try and tackle her to the ground.

She doesn't notice the three behind her at first as she pulls up, trying to draw the attackers away from the Mansion.

They swoop up after her, in perfect formation.

One spits out a rocket spray of acid from her mouth.

Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh shit! Victor thinks, as he rolls off of his blanket that he was laying on on the roof and went into camoflauge as the strange winged creatures attacked. Luckily since the fall was coming and it was getting cooler, he was actually wearing his training uniform because it kept him warm up on the roof as he enjoyed reading his book. This is so not good, so not good at all. Why couldn't I have just gone to a normal school? Oh! Right, because I'm Green with a 6 meter long tongue.

He crawls along the roof, he could start fighting, but he knows the X-Men would kill him if he did. If the bad guys didn't get him first. So for now, he's trying to look for shelter, and hoping to god that these creatures don't notice him while he's in camo mode.

A group of children has climbed onto the roof now. Looking quietly angry and determined.

Three of them put their hands on the roof, oblivious to the lizard boy's presence.

Their hands glow... and soon, a large section of the roof glows that same eerie red color.

Children? They are sending children after us? But Victor knew better then to attack without coming up with a plan, since he didn't know really what was going on. C'mon where are the telepaths!? He thinks, he had a plan already forming in his mind, but he needed to have a telepath connect him to the nececary people to pull it off. And it had always been a common practice for the student telepaths to do a headcount when there was a crisis going on, and then inform the X-Men that everyone was safe.

But for now all he does is watches and waits for a telepath to touch his mind.

The roof begins to melt. Controlled and precise.

The children pay no mind to anyone else.

She'd been in her room reading when the chaos had started, and moved slowly at first, creeping into the hallway on socked feet. It was eerily quiet for a moment, but then came an onset of shakes and rattles, signifying any number of things. For an instant, her mind flashes back to the giant firebird in the sky, but that had come and gone... That's why some of the X-men had gone a-hunting.

Laurie only stilled a moment, hopping back into her room to slip shoes on, before running from the dormatories and towards the main building. Her mind reached out, loud as she could call, What's happening!? What can I do!? Hopefully, someone would hear her. If not... As unsocial as she was, she was rather hoping to meet up with someone.

She pressed herself into an as-of-yet undistressed corner, radiating fear without even realizing it.

Until the back wall suddenly explodes inwards.

There's a big, ugly thing making its way into the Mansion. Through the dining room first.

OhGod!Ohgodohgodohgod... There's pain, but not enough to cripple at all. The wall's splintered, cutting a bit at her face and arms and legs. Nothing to worry about, moving now would be great. She's terrified, now, not holding it in. It can be harnested, though, and she bites hard at her lip before deciding...

Mind still working rapidly, she attempts to approach the horrid thing while maintaining safe distance, keeping away from its eye so that she isn't seen. Her powers are spreading her own feeling of fear all around her. And, Christ, she's not even sure if this thing can smell, inhale and become frightened away like she wants. And, oh, what if it doesn't work?

She remains quiet, but her mind's still panning for assistance... something. This is so not good!

The thing drools a bit, stomping inwards... and then it stops.

The eyes are sentient, but vacant. There's a moment when something registers, and a there's a nervous tic sort of look on its face... but then it straightens again, and it's gone.

Instead, it tears the refrigerator out of the kitchen, carrying it like a potential weapon.
