For once, Northstar is waiting patiently, hands clasped at the small of his back, his attention on Rogue as he tries to ignore the presence of the other two men in the room. He understands why he is here -- to stop Rogue in case one of her demons should possess her. He has experience with that sort of thing.
He is less certain of why she wants him here. As odd as it is to think, they are friends, but she knows him far better than he knows her and there must be people at the school who have known her longer as well. Still...this is a personal, private matter and he is willing to help as he can. He will not question her choice out loud.
It's ironic that the three men asked to watch over here for the most part wouldn't normally want to share the same room with each other, much less cooperate. Logan, for his part, isn't sulking.
Much.
He's here for Rogue alone. He's got the strength and endurance enough to pin her if need be. Jean-Paul's got the speed. Gambit... well, whatever. She wanted him here. Doesn't mean he's got to like it. It does mean, however, that he's had a few more beers than usual. He pulls up a chair, flips it around easily and sets his bulk down, folding his arms over the back.
Rogue looks up at both Logan and Jean-Paul and gives them a small smile before looking toward Remy. She hadn't considered that these three would... well. The dynamic here is interesting.
"Okay. Ah'm gonna go in and poke at people. Ah'd give yah some sort of word or gesture tah prove that is it me but most of them can listen tah me as well as Ah can them. So... they'd know it."
There's a rumble of response. "Yeah. Mind's tricky like that." He should know. He's been driven insane by mental blocks on his past on at least one occasion. He fixes her with those dark eyes. "We'll be here, darlin'."
"Poking around in this graveyard may be one of the more idiotic ideas you've ever come up with, woman."
This is not the man standing watch over her; this presence is younger and brasher, as he was in that brief moment of skin-to-skin contact years ago. Resentment radiates from his every movement.
Rogue takes in a breath and lets it out slowly just as she dives back into her own mind. As she does so, she takes a few moments to form herself in this plane. She is standing tall, taller than she normally would, standing on a small hill over looking the general morass of people that is down there.
"Yah normally don't bother me." Rogue looks toward Sinister. If there were a list of people who normally give her a headache, he wouldn't be on it. Maybe that's strange. She wonders what the hell he's doing in the corners of her mind. "Why now?"
"Hey there, sugah." Rogue looks over to the younger woman. "Ah'd let yah out if Ah could." If she could, she'd let everyone out of her head. She has no idea how she'd manage that, though. Just no clue.

Supportive.
"It must be done, Jean-Paul. She should not be denied peace."

His name is Garokk. When she absorbed him, he was possessed, and had taken control of the giant cosmic dreadnought by the name of Terminus.

Garokk. With the voice of Terminus.

Rogue does not look phased by the charges. She's heard them for a very long time, afterall.

"Are you certain you want to pursue this path, little rogue?"

A young teenager. Confused and uncertain. Frustrated.
"Hello?" With a lonely echo.
"I really don't want to be here."
