Yes, Tony does like shiny objects and hordes of admirers, doesn't he? Part of his considerable charm.
I like that Pepper hasn't shown Tony the painting because he'd buy it but not really care about it, and she didnt' want that. That's a nice, and I think very true, touch. I also like how Tony calls Pepper "my girl" and calls Bruce by his last name all in one sentence in a not-so-subtle bit of chest beating.
