So, what's allowed here? The easy answer to that is: pretty much anything! We're open to slash, het, and gen, no matter your pairing preference. If you want to write Steve/Tony or Charles/Erik, that's awesome, and if you've got a great idea for an epic Natasha/Pepper or Emma/Scott, that's perfectly acceptable as well. Just curious, is RPF based on the actors in the Marvel movies allowed? (I'm a mod for handbasketnews, an RPF-centric newsletter, and if so, I will be happy to promote your comm.)

We're not allowing RPF in this bang, no. We're trying to focus specifically on the characters in the Marvel universe - it's already pretty big, so we're going to keep the focus on the fictional characters :) Thanks for the offer, though!

Is a roughly 50/50 split in a DC/Marvel crossover okay or does it need to focus more on the Marvel character?

Hi! We're going to leave it to your best judgement - we run both marvel_bang and dcu_bang, and they both run with the same rules and general timelines. If your focus character or POV character is in the Marvel universe, then this is the place for you! If they're in the DC universe, then head over to dcu_bang and sign up there. Either way, we'd be happy to have you :)

Unfortunately, on top of the move that I mentioned in passing earlier, work has been demanding a lot more overtime from us, and I've had no time where inspiration and/or energy came together to grind out more than some dialogue and a paragraph or two. I probably won't get more free time until I move into the apartment in September and stop dealing with a three hour commute to and from work (public transit can be hell).

So I am going to have to drop out, I think. I definitely won't have a draft by the next check in date.
