Maybe focus on addiction vs family ties, like what the driving force of someone to quit something they are addicted to when a loved one says thats enough....or just the drivig force of what is strong enough to stop an addiction....

balance between trying to be happy and trying to be a good person...
and i guess how selfishness plays into that
