1. The way the service on Ryanair actually isn't that bad and the drinks aren't that expensive and you don't actually feel like you're going to fall out of the sky, but they make up for it by just kind of being dicks about everything

I always thought t was stolen from the English word for 'convenient,' but then I realized something obvious: 'hand' is just 'Hand' in German and 'Handy' means it goes in your hand!

emily and i were talking yesterday about how most other names for cell phones (mobile etc.) seem a lot more practical. 'cellular telephone' is so technical, and who really understands the whole 'cell technology' thing anyways?

Yeah, fucking North Americans, right? "That thurr's a 5000 series - got a 40-horsepower engine, it does." Who gives a shit? I want my cell phone to function reliably and at best make me feel a little like James Bond.
