So, turns out that in some cases tried in Norwegian court, the fact that the victim was inebriated when the crime took place is seen as a redeeming factor for the perpetrator. Let's look at some possible defenses using this argumentation.

I'm just so frustrated. Every year there are more rapes happening in Oslo and the only thing people seem to want to do is make sure girls don't walk home alone. How about not fostering a culture where men are seen as uncontrolled beasts, one opportunity away from raping and pillaging? How about making sure there's actually a fear of getting punished instead of victim blaming?

I suppose it is good for me to occasionally be reminded that the Scandinavian countries are not the Magical Rich Hippie Land O' Love that liberal Americans can make them sound like. :/

Hehe. Well, when it comes to banking and standard of living we kinda are. When it comes to mindset and culture, we're really not. :(
