A Snake and a Hen

I was biking back from Cape May Point Park along a side road when I spotted a small Black Rat Snake just off the pavement in the grass at the same moment he spotted me, and he hauled body out of there back into the scrub forest, which I was happy with so he would not venture out onto the highway pavement! This seems to be my summer for spotting

Heh heh! People usually don't know what guinea hens are, at least around here. People constantly ask me if mine are turkeys.

They are certainly interesting looking birds! :)
