Oh yaoi. In my 'Are you a slasher?' poll I commented that I've always liked yoai fandoms more, when there was a sizable population of slashers and other differently-minded writers in them. Yoai groupthink is brain-rottingly limited, imho. I totally agree with you about the seme/uke dynamic.

The black of the blindfold was abruptly painted with stars. Steve felt- He felt lit up. So close, Christ, he was so close.

This was probably my favourite line. I love the way Steve's thoughts are fractured and incoherent, and I loved Tony taking charge and knowing what Steve needed. One of the things I love about the Steve/Tony relationship is that they both have different strengths and take the lead at different times, and it's nice to see that reflected in the slash. :)
