Professor Moody passed away last night. I'd only heard yesterday morning that his cancer treatments weren't working, and didn't get a chance to send him an e-mail. I wish I'd told him sooner how much I admired him, and how I'll never forget that semester of blackouts when he held classes outside, using sidewalk chalk to turn the entire Olin patio

Wow. One of my first memories at Mudd was sitting in multivariable calculus watching Moody lecture on curve shapes with a huge knife and then slamming pieces of watermelon against the board to demonstrate them. I wish I'd have heard sooner as well.
