I was completely terrified I could never finish it, but I am so happy that I was able to do so. Thank you again so much for all the advice, encouragement, and comments -- you rock!
So, you thought that the "Susan conversation" turned out okay in the end? I was so nervous about that bit!

Thank you so much for taking a pretty vague prompt and turning it into something awesome!! :D

I liked the conversation about Susan & Gallifrey alot! I think it was a great reflection of the precarious balance that exists within the Doctor (Ten especially).
It was also a good way of seeing the different levels on which John & Ten are able to connect, and how John is maybe able to empathize with the Doctor regarding similar experiences that they've shared, and maybe even help him to deal with those memories instead of just burying them deeper within himself.
I really do love this story to pieces. It was just gorgeous.
*Sigh* John is sooooo...*sigh* This fic is everything I hoped it would be, though at times, I still have to look at pics of DT in Love in the 21st Century to distinguish John from the Doc. Lovely, lovely fic!

LOL! I know what you mean -- I have the same problem sometimes!
I also sometimes have a hard time hearing their voices in my heads as well on top of that. If I've been watching a lot of Who, when I picture DT, I hear him speaking in his English accent and can't hear his natural accent. Or if I've been watching a lot of DT stuff where he uses his Scottish accent, I can't hear the English accent in my head. I am glad I have a bunch of video and audio files on my computer because in that predicament I have to listen to David speaking in the needed accent for a few minutes to pick it back up again. Still, you can imagine the challenge when I need both accents in my head!
Wow, thank you so much -- I am so flattered! *blush*
This story in particular was a real challenge to write and I wasn't sure if I captured the two men's emotions very well, but I have been very pleased with the positive feedback on it!
