[written, but carefully scribbled out. probably readable if you try way too hard.]

Capell... I've found them. Would you care to play?

[Martel had gotten bored just lying around, even if Kratos did tell her it was best to rest a couple of days. So she had gone and found her panpipes and seated herself in the grass behind her house. For a ( Read more... )

[Musette is out for a walk at the moment, and my, that certainly is lovely music, so don't mind her if she'll listen for a bit.]

[Hmm... Musette looks like the cultured sort. Martel's tune shifts smoothly to something more... classical. Not that she can mimic an orchestra with one set of panpipes, of course, but she did know some of the elements that classical music tended toward.]

[Musette can certainly appreciate that, so she smiles at Martel and remains listening.]

[When the song comes to a close, she lowers her panpipes, offering a smile.]

I am Martel. And yourself?

[You can find a Jenova sitting on top of your roof, bare feet dangling as she watches in mild interest, humming along in her own way if you look up.]

I actually have no idea what Jenova looks like, soooo~... martelandmany February 23 2009, 03:03:27 UTC
[Martel doesn't look, but she can tell someone's there, hear the humming. She can kind of guess it's Jenova... Jenova always had that 'different' vibe. For a moment, she plays softer, listening to Jenova's humming, then shifts her tune to compliment Jenova's humming rather than vice versa.]

[A half-smile drifts momentarily across Jenova's face as the tune changes, one she knows, but from where? She couldn't remember, any who might have answered were long dead and dust. She speaks, finally, when the song trails off.]

I know you, have felt you before, no?

(OOC: Think this minus a couple intestinal-looking things, plus arms with hands, and also a gauzy thin dress because apparently walking around naked scares the locals--those she lets see her anyway.)

[When the other spoke, Martel now looked up to face her... Jenova was probably the strangest thing she'd ever seen. Not that Martel was judging or anything. It was almost fascinating, though she didn't let on.]

Indeed. You are Jenova, if I properly recall.

[Never let it be said that Regal doesn't appreciate good music. He's going to pause in his walk to listen to the sound.]

[She thinks she can sense someone there, but isn't sure. She continues to play her melody, just in case.]

[He's not going to say anything to interrupt her, but he will walk a bit closer and hope that he doesn't startle her by accident.]

[Oh no, not startled at all. Now she knows you, Regal Bryant. It's likely, though, that you came more for the song than for a conversation, so she continues to play for another few minutes until the song comes to an end. Then she lowers her panpipes, looking to Regal now.]

I enjoy the sun...

[Her words are not quite apologetic, but are meant to explain quite why she was sitting in the barely dry grass in her backyard rather than on her front porch or some similar location.]

[That song... somehow, he knows that song, and he's not sure how or why.]

[This boy... She spoke to him over the journals. But there was something familiar about him, deeper than just that. She didn't let it distract her, though. He came for the song, so she continued to play it.]

[This is strange, and it's bothering him a bit. Where has he heard this song before? He has no distinct memories of it, yet he knows it regardless.]

[She continues to play. He's not decided to approach her yet, it seems, so she's not going to draw attention to his presence. However, her melody is slightly softer, almost welcoming him should he decide to come say hi.]

[He recognizes that style of playing.

And so, he's following the tune, his expression as neutral as ever, though he's not very pleased.]

[Why so serious? She notices him right away, a little concerned by the 'not pleased' look on his face, although didn't he always seem that way nowadays? She continues to play her panpipes, though, no reason to interrupt quite yet.]

[Then he'll stand by her with his arms crossed, giving her the look that he usually gives Lloyd when the boy knows he's screwed up.]

[The song fades to an end, and she gazes up at him a moment, clearly inquisitive but not quite sure how to express it.]

...Is something the matter?
