[This is after the as-of-yet unwritten thread between her and Yuan and maybe Cooro on the log. At the end of which, the powerlines (which were also affected by the earthquake) caught their semi-wrecked house on fire. |D

[He did grab his journal, actually. He's just a little too busy to read it. First he had to get his hands on some buckets, which proved to be a big problem now that the shops are in shambles. Not to mention that most of the village is basically ripped asunder, with gaping cracks running through it. Then he stopped to frown at the barrier, filled the buckets with water and had to get back to the house. Suffice it to say, he was gone for far longer than he'd have liked. He would've checked on his other companions, but... Well, he's got his own problems to worry about.
Finally, he nears the house with four water-filled buckets to put out the fire. Flying, because yes, he had to use his wings to get over the cracks. Well, at least Martel is safe outside the house-
[Yazoo or no, she's hurrying to Yuan and taking a couple of the buckets, but she's standing in front of the flaming house for a moment and genuinely has no idea where she could splash it to even do any good.
She's shooting Yuan a look, half worried and half apologetic, like somehow she should've been able to save their house.
But then she realizes the conflict that might be at hand (they're men--burning buildings can't cease their quarrel), so she's stepping backward a few steps, putting herself vaguely between them.]
[Yazoo's on high alert after coming out of the building, jumpy enough after the earthquake and even moreso after this mess. He releases Martel's arm after they escape the house and flicks his eyes up to Yuan instead, Green locked on him for a moment before he instead just stepped away from the heat the flames the house gave off, the large Shadow Creatures in toe. He's a bit dirty from the smoke and ash, but that doesn't stop him from calling to the other man flippantly.]
[Oh Yazoo, you caught him in a really bad mood. Yuan doesn't have the patience to deal with you right now. ... Well, actually, Yuan never has the patience to deal with Yazoo, but today even moreso. After losing his house and most of his possessions, he's already bordering on going into a fit of rage. In fact, it takes him every last bit of restraint not to lash out at the silver-haired man for daring to touch Martel.]
You! Shut up!
[He quickly sets two of the buckets down, before taking off into the air again. Swiftly, he tosses the contents of the two remaining buckets over the flames. Electricity fires can be put out by water, right? Right?]
