[Kratos has been out on a walk on this winter night. He'd never been able to sleep properly ever since they disappeared. He was originally just going to... walk aimlessly and try to give himself some peace, but instead, he finds Martel. The melody is easy to hear, too.

He can't keep up his aimless walk at this point. Instead, he goes to her, stopping a few feet behind her. He knows that she knows that he's there, so he feel she doesn't have to say anything.]

... Do not reject him. That was the final straw on our journey. But do not welcome his twisted ideals, though I'm sure you will not.

Mithos... blinded himself to the very world he lived in, rejecting it in favor of his own. He failed to see that people change in time, as do their hearts. He closed himself off to the very notion, instead embracing his plan to turn them into nothing more than lifeless beings, unable to feel any emotions.

[He shuts his eyes with deep thought.] To this day, I am unsure if he'd ever open his eyes for anyone.

[Meanwhile, he'll just hope he doesn't arrive. After a moment, Kratos shifts to stand.]

I still have something I must do.
