Well, it is lovely to meet you, my dear. You sound quite interesting. Also, I really like your bit of advice. (I think most of the time, people are trying to be funny or unique and just have some rough-edged social skills.)

Nice to "meet" you to, properly I mean. That's part of why I like doing memes like this even if they are a bit personal, because it gives people I know online more of a window into the kind of person I am. I'm glad you find me interesting, that's always nice to hear.

On the advice - I tend to think you lose that in a lot of contexts these days. It's part of the world where everybody "knows" everyone but in an almost bland, contextless way - we don't have the old cues to judge someone's intent, and we're so used to thinking divisively, it's hard to be generous in how we read people I guess? Plus it's just hard generally. But it's important IMO, and definitely something I try to do. I'm glad you thought it was good advice.

Awww, this was great! Love the song, that really brings back memories of my piano playing days.

Also, Holmescest!!! Yummy. It really is all about the characterization and power dynamics there. :)

I really, really miss playing piano regularly. I took lessons since I was old enough to touch the keys and while in grad school would sit down maybe twice a week to work on new songs, just for 0the change of pace. (Mostly classical; some my own take on Southern Gospel.) But I lost my access to a piano and haven't managed to find a new one that's any good, and... yeah. Just listening to it is good for my soul. :-)

Re: Holmescest I so hear you. It's not that I mind the sexual elements because it's so often very, very well done in a way that tells us something about the characters. But for me at least it's the power-play, the negotiations between desire and obligation and other things, that really make it very interesting. (It does amuse me that so many Johnlock aficionados tend to see Sherlock as submissive but can't see the natural way that just fits so well with Mycroft's "Don't make me order you," because... well. I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir on that one.)

This is a very odd meme. Half the questions seem so personal as to beg the answer "none of your business," and the other half are just completely random. But it does seem to fit with much of what I understand about Tumblr.

In retrospect it is very personal. Probably more than I fully realized when feeling it out. Odd how my threshold for that kind of thing is so much lower than it probably should be. Still, I found it interesting to sit down and do, personally. Of course everyone's different when it comes to stuff like this, I think.
