Saturdays are made for good music, and this song is one of my favorites. Here's a studio version of "I Need a Dollar," where you can really hear the blues and jazz roots much more claearly than in the more polished version. Nice job.

I'm sorry you're poorly! Chest infections are no fun at all. Hope you are keeping warm and have plenty of rest (has semester started yet??) and soothing things to drink...

Thanks. The semester has started, but more or less without me. I'm not actually teaching this term, and while I do have seminars I'm sitting in on (medieval language/logic + contemporary philosophy of religion), that's somewhat optional. Mostly I'm working up a dissertation proposal. In theory, when my head isn't swimming. ;-)

I am drinking lots of water and herbal tea, and later I will heat up some miso soup - better than chicken noodle at clearing the sinuses IMO.

When I have stinking colds the Resident Geek makes me tom yam gai - Thai chicken, lemongrass and chilli soup. Perfect for clearing sinuses! I hope the miso does the trick for you - and glad you don't have to teach while you're ill, so at least you can rest up.
