Vigil for Claire. . .

As we sit tonight and keep vigil for our dear friend Claire. . . I ask that those of you who know her, please pray for her. She's in the hospital tonight in a very bad way. Don't want to step on anyone's toes by posting this before her family does, but it's what's on my mind tonight

Thank you for posting this -- even over a year late. We - you and I and others - still think about her, and the feelings we had then still remain with us now. It was a rough few days. I realized things had gone very wrong when Terry told me she went in the hospital on December 26th. (And, I found out after her death that she was taken by ambulance because she was too weak to walk). I'd hoped for better, and figured Claire would get in touch with me like she usually did when she was in the hospital. Other times she'd text me asking me to call her on the hospital phone, or text me when Terry was taking her there. But - when there was nothing after a few days, I knew it was bad. Then Terry began giving me daily text message reports - and each day it was worse: infection here - - infection there, and each place was more dire than the last

Notice you said you had the flu that year too. So did I, and with pneumonia on top of it. I too went into the hospital the week following Christmas. My ex was sick as a dog. . . on Christmas and got eight of us mighty sick. I was so sick myself that I worried that I wouldn't get better either. . . like Claire.
