Teehee… I have a new toy. It arrived yesterday, and it is awesome. I haven't had a whole lot of time to play with it yet, but I've already both put it to good use in meetings and installed the streaming Netflix app for ease of watching Buffy on the go (which is obvs very important), and ordered one of these to hold it (on the last day for the ( Read more... )

Yay Danny Boyle love! I haven't seen all of this films, but I love that he chooses such different stories to tell and yet his films always have his stamp on them. He mixes it up while still staying consistent in a lot of ways. 28 Days Later is probably my favourite of his. One of the things I love the most about it is that it's a great horror/suspense/thriller film, but there's a romantic core to it that I adore. Also he can keep working with Cillian Murphy forever and ever amen.

I feel like he does that a lot in his films.. even when there isn't an expressly romantic plot, there's a romanticism that's there no matter what.

(And guh.. yes.. more Cillian, always. And he somehow always manages to be even prettier than he is naturally when he's in Boyle's movies. I can't explain it, but there it is.)

Help! What's Bobbie Dwight?!

And hee! Yeah, there was a definite temptation to just bonk people. I was trying to behave on account of it was my dad's class and all, but I may have taken a swipe at my mom on at least one occasion.. XD
