I'm going to have to see Letters to Juliet, because I need a sweet, cute movie in my life right now. And that's all I want out of modern rom coms, too, so if you give it the A-OK, it must be good. Especially if Egan exudes Heath Ledger (*still crying over that one*).
Prince of Persia! Must see! Let me know if it was any good -- and by good I mean fun and exciting and that Jake's arms are fabulous. That's all I require out of that particular movie. X^D
HOLD THE PHONE. *RIAN JOHNSON* directed this week's Breaking Bad!?!?!?!? WHY DON'T I KNOW THESE THINGS. "Fly" was by far my favorite episode of the series (besides "One Minute"). Holy freaking crap! Half-way through, I was, like, "Bryan Cranston, here's your Emmy nomination." I can't believe it - Rian Johnson!
LOL, I'm sorry to hear about your shoe! That's adorable.
I'm glad you liked Letters to Juliet. And you, too, have a lovely weekend! :)
He did!! I spazzed when I saw his name in the credits, and couldn't believe it! I had to pause it and look it up to be sure that it was the same Rian Johnson. And it was!! And both Cranston and Paul were just phenomenal in the episode... that show is at its best when its the two of them. Everyone is good, don't get me wrong, but the two of them have such chemistry.
I think one's reaction to Lost depended upon why one enjoyed it. I watched the whole thing in the space of a few months last fall, then S6 live. I was way more in to the mysteries and the drama and the overall storyline than I was the individual characters, so the ending (while not as rageful as some series finales), fell flat for me.
"The Fly" WAS astonishingly good. It should have been boring and its format too arty and affected, but it just worked.
Yeah.. the characters were definitely what I was most attached to.. I dug the lore and mysteries too, of course, but these days, six years is a long time to spend with a group of characters, so I was glad they devoted the finale to that. But even still, I can see where it would fall flat.. within the context of the season it really didn't fit.
But "The Fly" on the other hand.. fits with LIFE. I'd missed Walt and Jesse actually interacting!

And yay! Yes, that's about all I'm requiring too, and if the previews are any indication, I will not be disappointed! I'll report back after. :D
