East Attic - Wee!Tiny Saturday Afternoon

Veronica has already had a very busy day and it's still early!

She played ring around the rosy with Janet and Maureen and Piper and a bunch of other people and she went to the playground where Archie pushed her on the swings

After playground time, Archie went back to his room and got ready for his date. He even took another shower, an extra-long one, and made sure to wash his face more carefully than usual. For once, he'd washed behind his ears like he was supposed to!

It took Archie a lot longer to climb the stairs than he'd thought it would, what with weetiny legs and all. Even with a break at every landing, he was still puffing by the time he reached the East Attic and knocked on the door, his wooden toy yacht and the remote-control boat he'd gotten for his birthday tucked under one arm.

But that was okay! He was supposed to have special fun time with Veronica today, and maybe she'd teach him how to work the remote-control boat, too.

Veronica wasn't pacing impatiently when Archie knocked on her door. Cause five year olds are very patient.

She opened the door almost before he was done knocking.

"Hi, Archie!" she greeted with a huge grin.

"'lo, Veronica!" Archie sang, waving at her energetically with the non-boat-carrying hand. "I had fun on the swings this morning! Are you ready to go have more fun now?"

"Me too!" Veronica said. "And yes, I am!" She grabbed her small, fancy purse which held more lipstick, blush and eyeshadow just in case all the makeup she put on wore off, her keys and some money.

"Let's go!"
