"Damnit Max! I know you're mad at me, but to not answer the phone? Listen, how many times do I have to say I'm sorry. I had to leave. I couldn't stay there any longer. All I want is to be normal. And I'm not going to get that if you're dragging me around on some half-assed search for the truth. I don't care what they said. That's not any destiny of mine."

Silence, then she speaks quietly.

"Max, this place is pretty strange. There's vampires, demons... Hell, I even met a purple dragon. And they say there's aliens here. I haven't met any yet. But maybe there's a reason why I'm here. Maybe the answers aren't in Roswell...."

"I'm going to go. I'll call you if I find anything out."

"Give my love to everyone. Tell them...I miss them."
