Unfortunately the clock is well protected. Roommates or a pet are your best bets.

Good to see you!

Think I got myself a temp roommate, thankfully. Just not quite a pet person here in the City. Stupid clock.

Same here, Captain. How you been?

Good plan, I'm a little scared of what the City could plan for pets, probably to take over one curse or something.

I've been good, Veronica. Things are rolling along with certain plans.

Certain death, maybe. You have any, Captain?

That's good to hear. And, oh?

It seems that finding company is the only way to cease the ticking; it is quite distracting. At first it interfered terribly with my morning prayers, though I am becoming accustomed to it now.

I hope you have been well, Veronica, since we last spoke.

I think this mean I'm not the only one who's particularly against that sound. Or alone in the department of needing company. You're religious, then, Silk?

I've been fine. And, you? How's the ticking going for you?

Yes; I am an augur. Of course I have no formal duties here, but I do keep up my own devotions as best I can. The ticking makes it more difficult to concentrate, but I suppose overcoming the inconvenience is probably good for my spiritual discipline.

Someone was kind enough to invite me to live in an apartment with a number of room mates, so for the most part the ticking is not an issue. Prayers, unfortunately, tend to call for solitude. [Soft chuckle]

That's mighty nice of you, Silk. Devoted, that's for sure.

I'm glad you're doing well. You're a good kid. So, yeah. [Slightly awkward pausing, because V isn't usually this nice] Hopefully, that ticking won't bother you so much when praying. If not, I will blow it up somehow. Or another. Or just get really, really, functional mufflers for us.

As awesome as shooting things is, the best solution is just to get a roommate.

One or several? I get what you mean, though. As awesome as shooting things would be, and just so satisfying, it ain't exactly the best solution in the crayon box.

All you need is one. Of course, if they're gone, the ticking comes back.

You have really weird crayon boxes where you come from.

I'll hang on to my one as long as I can, then.

I blame Crayola. They come up with the gayest names.

It sort of is bothersome, isn't it?

It definitely isn't fun, for sure. How bad is it for you?

Just sort of very faint. Used to have a roommate that kept it away but not anymore and I never noticed it was there more often.

Lucky for you.

Mine's like a blaring drum. It's starting to ease a bit, though, thanks to a friend. Think this means we both need roommates, huh. I'm Veronica.

Thumbs up, Keigo boy.

Yup. Well, not for the next week or so. But yeah, that ticking ordeal makes it obvious, huh?
