They work? They are my pseudo nieces. Not blood...but might as well be. I have another pseudo niece/nephew on the way...and we buried a niece (Abbey) a couple of months ago. These lovely ladies are my best friends sisters...who is basically my sister. My best friend (the one that lost their daughter Abbey a few months ago...are pregnant again...unplanned). It's an interesting time and situation. They were going to wait a while to try again...and it happened before the actual due date of Abbey (which was last week). So they are really having mixed emotions right now...and are going to have a long and VERY cautious seven months ahead of them. I am tense about it...I can't imagine what they are going through.

My mom lives in my grandparents' old house. She bought it after they died. My brother and I pretty much grew up with the neighbors next door. One of their daughters, who is about my age, got married last year, and was expecting her first baby about 6 months ago. She had a miscarriage 8 weeks into the pregnancy. She's so devastated, she doesn't want to ever try again.

I've never been pregnant, so I don't understand the devastation of a miscarriage. I mean, I know it'd be devastating, but I've never felt it so I can't say anything about it. But I definitely don't understand not wanting to try again. If anything, I'd be more determined. MORE SEX NOW!

All children should have a Cat in the Hat costume.

Both of those pictures are adorable, except for that one scruffy lookin' spud that's in both of them.
